Bringing with him a host of unholy abominations such as Brood Horrors, Pack Masters, Wolf Rats, a new variant of the existing Rat Ogres and, perhaps most excitingly, the Ghoritch legendary hero(pictured below in its miniature form), Throt’s campaign will feature gameplay mechanics that, on paper, look quite similar to those of previous DLC lord Ikit Claw. It’s a combination that many never knew they wanted, and this latest announcement promises a breath of new life into one of the franchises most maligned factions.Ī new Skaven lord is something of a surprise considering the faction’s inclusion in two of the last four packs released for the game, but the inclusion of Throt the Unclean is something that many rat-fans have been asking for. The Total War: Warhammer franchise is a masterful blend of real time, army level tactics, turn based empire management and giant monsters smashing into lines of hapless swordsmen.
